BIG WILLY: Giant Nearly 2-to-1 Scale 1942 Willys MB Flatfender Jeep | EP33
At 4.5 times more volume than the original Flatfender Willys MB and Ford GPW, Big Willy might land us in jail if we drove it outside the US. And when it's parked next to a restored 1942 WWII military jeep, the 1.648:1 scaled hand-built Willys replica makes Nicole look like a five-year-old girl behind the 27" diameter steering wheel. A Burning Man spectacle, Ian Liljeblad's WWII veterans' tribute is a capable off-road machine, complete with rear steer, Warn locking hubs, Dana 60 axles, Offroad Design Magnum planetary gear reduction box, differential lockers, and a Cummins R2.8 diesel crate motor.

Me? A Millennial? Thanks, but not quite. Tell that to my son, who's a millennial and daily drives a manual because I taught him to drive one when he was 16. This is a dogbox manual, without synchros. Try it sometime...there's a learning curve. Dare you to film your first attempt and share it with the world.

Awesome truck. Years ago, my Dad found an old 30's Dodge Truck in a field in Australia, It had apparently sat there for 30 years. He bet the owner of the farm he could get the engine running by the end of the week. He won an 1898 milk pump engine! He had that old Dodge motor purring like a kitten. Unfortunately the transmission was completely ceased in the truck, so it never moved. Rusted solid basically. However the engine is now used as the backup generator for the farm when the power goes out. :)

Insane 517HP in a VW 1973 model!I have driven iif you hard brake it slides because no engine in front and air cooled had a different sound a bit like a motorcycle sound and the gear is H first is forward and the second is towards the driver and hard to find sometimes the third and the fourth towards the passanger seat next to the driver’s seat. And it is a bit like italic H alphabet so that is really weird. Germans have begun manufacturing these VW in 1941!!! The 517 HP version is what Californians love why? Noone knows

Glad I found this video!! The R5 Turbo has been one of my favorites for decades. Was a poor grad student when these were new, and fell in love with them then. Never had the money to own one after graduation, so lived vicariously through building a scale model of one, taking a very basic kit and detailing it so it looked more the part. Go, Renault!
